Hammond, Wis. – Air Force wrestling (1-1, 0-1 Big12) opened up its weekend of wrestling by winning nine of 10 bouts (29-3) against the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse (0-1, 0-0 WIAC), Saturday Morning in St. Croix Central High School, Hammond, Wis.
Alex Lopouchanski (165) and Parker Hines (197) led the Falcons earning major decision victories giving the Falcons bonus points to extend the lead. Lopouchanski bested UWL’s Andrew Dayland 13-4, while Hines topped Zach Tooley 16-5.

Falcon wrestling continues action this evening, Nov., 21, at 6:30 p.m. CT against the No. 22 Minnesota Gophers in Sports Pavilion, Minneapolis, Minn.
Minneapolis, Minn. – In their second dual of the day, Air Force wrestling (1-2, 0-1 Big12) fell short against No. 22 Minnesota (4-3, 0-0 B1G), 22-12, in Sports Pavilion, Minneapolis, Minn.
Four Falcons tallied victories over the gopher powerhouse in the 133, 149, 165 and 174 classes. No. 13 Josh Martinez earned a decision victory over Sam Brancale, 7-5. Jerry McGinty and Alex Lopouchanski both earned decision victories, 7-3 and 3-2 respectively. Minnesota native, Adam Jackson rounded out the Falcon victories with a 5-1 decision over Jordan Rothers.
With the match tied at 12, freshman Anthony McLaughlin squared off against Minnesota’s Chris Pfarr. The match was tied at five at the end of regulation and headed to sudden victory overtime. Knotted up in escapes, the bout went into a second sudden victory period only to have a second set of tiebreakers to follow. Pfarr had a 0.4 second riding time advantage, which became the deciding factor by NCAA regulation for matches tied after 11 minutes of wrestling. The half-second advantage would give Pfarr the point along with a n narrow victory over McLaughlin.
With the momentum in their favor, Minnesota would earn wins in the final two bouts to seal the score at 22-12 in favor of the Gophers.

The Falcons will take the weekend off before sending a group of wrestlers to compete in the prestigious 34th-annual Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational at the Las Vegas Convention Center on Dec., 4-5, 2015.
Kearney, Neb. – Air Force wrestling concluded action with five Elite division place winners at the UNK-Holiday Inn Open, Saturday night in Kearney, Neb. Freshman Alex Mossing proved dominant in Kearney, going undefeated (4-0) on the night to win the title in the 157 Elite division.
Five out of 11 Falcon wrestlers earned top-five finishes in the Elite division. Sam Kreimier finished the night at 3-1 for a second place finish in the 157 Elite division, going undefeated before falling to teammate Mossing in the championship bout.
Michael Billingsley earned a fourth place finish in the 165 Elite division going 3-1 on the night while Conor O'Hara (149, 4-1) and Lyle Plummer (141, 4-2) both earned fifth place finishes in their respective Elite divisions.
Freshman Chris Cos led the team in falls, making three pins with the fastest pin coming in at 1:45, in the 165 Amateur bracket.
